Haladhar Mahato Teacher's Training Institute is situated in Purulia, West Bengal. It is a co-ed institution established in the year 2012. The compact 5.02-acre campus approved by the National Council for Teacher Education with an enrolment of 146 students with a faculty strength of 15, maintaining hence a very healthy student-teacher ratio that assures personal attention and quality education. 

Institute provide the students with every kind of facility for the improvement in the process of learning. The well-stocked library is the hub of knowledge that makes the student accessible to a range of learning materials. To add to it, if one is more of a tech head, then very good IT infrastructure is available in the college. There are also departmental laboratories that provide experience, which is a very important component in a teacher's training. Sports facilities are there on campus, along with a cafeteria and an auditorium for hosting various events and seminars. Haladhar Mahato Teacher's Training Institute provides only one major course, and that is the Bachelor of Education program. It is a two-year full-time course aimed at empowering students in the teaching art. The B.Ed course presently pursued here has interdisciplinary coverage of the various dimensions and aspects pertaining to education theory and practice.

Selection at Haladhar Mahato Teacher's Training Institute will be based on the merit of the candidate and the reservation rules of the Government of West Bengal. The institute is also into affording the same admission policy of the state government and the affiliated university.
