Hari Narayan Sah Bhuneshwar Janta College has been a progressive educational institution for the student community of Bihar's Buxar since its inception in 1979. The college is at a higher degree level, and it is a co-educational institution that provides education from the undergraduate to above levels of study. It has 1,272 total enrolment and a total of 27 members on the faculty. That means it houses the environment where academic excellence and character building can be nurtured owing to the many facilities housed at the institution.

The library facility offers a number of journals, books, and reference materials for the use of students in their study. Hari Narayan Sah Bhuneshwar Janta College further operates departmental laboratories that facilitate hands-on learning experiences for the specific subject requirements.
