Harihar Saha College, Udakishunganj, was founded in the year 1956 in Madhepura, Bihar. It is a constituent co-educational institution sprawls over 16 acres, providing an ideal and conducive atmosphere for learning and overall growth. At Harihar Saha College, with a total enrolment of 1,051 students and a faculty of 5, there exist wide varieties of undergraduate courses where the main emphasis falls on the arts and humanities departments. 

This facility gives support to the overall development of students within the college. In the centre of all these facilities lies a well-stocked library with 1,500 books, of which 500 are reference books and 5 are encyclopedias. The sitting arrangement in the library reading room is done so that 50 students can sit at one time and is aptly set up to provide perfect quietness to study effectively. Sports enthusiasts will get ample scope to pursue their interests because the sports facilities are both indoors and outdoors. The Sports Committee encourages the students to actively participate in various athletic activities, thereby instilling the spirit of team work and healthy competition. At the same time, it has developed a very strong IT infrastructure of the institution, which provides access to modern technological resources for students; these are quite critical for contemporary education.

Harihar Saha College, there are seven undergraduate courses, and they are all full-time. The BA is one of the specializations the college offers its learners since it provides strong skill bases in liberal arts education. Courses at this level include BA, where there are BA General and BA Honours in History, Political Science, Religious Studies, Hindi, Urdu, and Economics. This wide array of disciplines shall enable the students to delve into areas of interest and forge out expertise in chosen fields.
