Helal Teachers' Training College B.Ed. is an affiliated rural college at Birbhum in the West Bengal district. This is a coeducational compact campus with 0.7 acres, aiming at nurturing future educators. The institution got approval from the National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi, to have two specialties in teacher education with a sanctioned student enrolment of 100 and a faculty strength of 17.

The institution has a bank of facilities that enrich the learners' educational experience: a library well-equipped as the knowledge hub, and current IT infrastructure to help students keep up with new technologies entering the process of education. To help in holistic development, the college has sports facilities and a gym. Separate hostels for boys and girls inside the campus provide comfortable living for out-of-town students.  Helal Teachers' Training College offers two regular courses on a full-time basis: a two-year B.Ed. and a two-year D.El.Ed. with an approved intake of 100 students in each program. The programs are so structured as to make the students ready with all those skills and knowledge needed for the teaching profession by arming them with the capability to face the modern challenges of teaching.

Admission to Helal Teachers' Training College is merit-based, which will be determined in accordance with the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The college follows the admission policies prescribed by the state government, U.T. Administration, and the affiliated university.
