Himalayan Institute of Pharmacy was founded in the year 2007, it is affiliation college located in Kala-Amb, Himachal Pradesh. The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) has accredit this institution and it aims at providing education in the field of pharmaceuticals only. Located in a 2.5 acre campus, the institute has two pharmacy courses, total student capacity of 334 & 29 faculties. The girls’ hostel is safe and secure for the girl child. Knowledge centre, a large collection of books with over 5100 books and reading resources include magazines and e-journals. The institute also has computer laboratories with 410 computers and broadband Internet connection. Regarding physical fitness students have availability of a gym and various sports equipment. An on-campus cafeteria prepare and sells healthy meals, as well as provides students with opportunities for socialisation. This centre also avails transport services so that students, staff and other members of the community can be chauffeured safely in an effortless manner.
The institute offers two full-time pharmacy programmes: These include a four-year programme Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma) and a two-year Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharma). Each programme has an approved capacity to composite 60 students overall making it 120 students per year. These courses aims at offering the students clear understanding and apply various knowledge and skills in pharmaceutical sciences in order to fit in the pharmaceutical sector or any other health related facilities.
To achieve its goal, the Himalayan Institute of Pharmacy has instituted an easy admission process.
