Himalayan Institute of Technology and Management, Lucknow is affiliated with Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow and is All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) approved. HITM Lucknow offers higher education in the stream of engineering, management and business administration. HITM Lucknow courses offered are Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Business Administration, which are available in various specialisations. The outcome of the B.E courses is to provide competent knowledge of engineering and its allied subjects and the MBA course is to provide a thorough understanding of business and its workings. 

The admissions in the courses of  HITM Lucknow  are dependent on the merit of the applicant as well as his/her score in UPCET (Uttar Pradesh Combined Entrance Test). Then they must participate in UPTAC counselling, conducted by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow. The applicant must meet the  HITM Lucknow eligibility criteria, to seek admission in the desired course. HITM Lucknow understands the importance of education and thus provides scholarships, to meritorious students as well as to those from underprivileged backgrounds, with the purpose of providing them financial assistance and aid, in their academic journey. 

HITM Lucknow is built on 27 acres of land. The college infrastructure provides multiple facilities for the benefit of students and college members. HITM Lucknow offers a range of facilities such as well-furnished classrooms, separate hostel facilities for girls and boys, an adequately stocked library, medical facilities and other such facilities. The unique feature of the college is that it provides transportation facilities, catering especially to the college members, travelling from far.
