HLY Degree College, Lucknow: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

HLY Degree College was established in the year 2005. This Institution is affiliated to Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Situated in Uttargaon Sisendi Mohanlalganj, this educational hub spreads across 3.75 acres of land. The Institution is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and prepares students with an adequate course curriculum in teacher education. Currently enrolment of 128 students are studying, and the faculty strength is 16.

HLY Degree College  has various facilities that help realise improvement in the student's life and academic support. A well-stocked library provides some sort of a repository for knowledge, while state-of-the-art IT infrastructure keeps students in touch with the modern concepts on educational resources. Departmental laboratories provide for the practical-knowledge interplay so that theoretical knowledge and practical skill take hold. Dine and refresh themselves, the cafeteria caters to staff and students alike. Sport aficionados get to exploit the better part of the college's athletic facilities, thus trying their best to achieve a balance between study and outdoor activities in pursuit of health living. Girls' hostel facilities with suitable accommodation have not left female students behind; they are on campus. Internet access through WI-Fi in the whole campus is ensured for research and communication. There is also a health center with first aid facilities for the proper welfare of all students and staff. The auditorium serves as a hub for events and seminars, which brings much excitement to campus life. A gym serves those interested in fitness and is on campus. 

At present, there is just one full-time course for HLY Degree College: the B.Ed programme. The two-year programme has an approved intake of 100 students, and this reflects the orientation of the college to trainer preparation. The B.Ed course is properly prepared to equip aspiring teachers with the right knowledge and skills that would lead them to a successful teaching career. Though this college specialises only in this one programme, they show a commitment to excellence in training teachers. 

Admission at HLY Degree College is strictly on merit basis. Merit shall be calculated taking into account the marks of the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. Admission shall be strictly on merit basis as deemed by the state government, U.T. Administration, and the affiliate university. Besides, any other selection process may be followed by the college as per its existing policies.
