Hojai Girls College came into existence in the year 1991 and is an affiliated college situated in Hojai, Assam. This institute functions strictly for girls and has been rendering more than three decades of its services to cope with the educational requirements of female students. The college sprawls over a compact area of 2 acres and offers undergraduate courses in arts and humanities. With a total strength of 803 students and faculty strength at 20, Hojai Girls College provides an ideal academic environment. Different facilities are available there to aid all-round development in academics and personal grooming. Apart from this, there is an adequately managed cafeteria that caters hygienic food to the students at reasonable rates. Hojai Girls College offers nine undergraduate courses on a full-time basis. However, the stronghold courses are in the Bachelor of Arts. The student intake capacity in all courses together is 803. The flag bearer course is BA with general category student intake of 300 seats. The college also offers a number of honours programs under its umbrella for 25 seats each in subjects such as Economics, Bengali, Education, English, Hindi, Political Science, History, and Assamese. The Hojai Girls College has effective and hassle-free procedures for admissions for students interested in joining the college. 

The students were admitted at this college with considerable emphasis on merit based mainly on the result of the 10+2 examination.
