HP College of Education, Shimla was established in 2007 approved affiliated college situated in beautiful city Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. This co—education college, recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), offers only teacher education. Having a total size of 1 acres the campus space is compact and can accommodate the programs offered in the college particularly for aspiring educators. HP College of Education provides quality education to students with total strength of 199 students and total faculty members 13 in NOIDA.

They undertake to have state of the art facilities that have been deemed necessary to support the students learning process. The standard texts, references, encyclopedias, educational magazines, journals along with educational CDs are available in the library in plenty to support the academic needs of the institute. For training practical, college has well academically furnished pedagogical laboratories and language resource centers as per NCTE norms. IT golf is good and conducive for current teaching and learning techniques. The college also looks after the health aspect of the students by having a health centre with first aid facilities, sports room for indoor games and University playground for outdoor. For the convenience of the students who travel long distances, the college has separate hostels for boys and girls consisting of clean and spacious rooms, recreational halls and neat and clean dining halls.

At present, it has one full-time class – the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme. This two-year programme has an approved intake of one hundred students, to mirror the college’s high stakes approach to developing quality teachers. much aim of the B.Ed course is to successfully prepare students for teaching, with appropriate pedagogy skills and knowledge. Thus, although the college currently has only one degree programme, the provision of this limited programme focuses on the innovative, specialized area of education.

Admission in HP College of Education is also very unique and centralized by Himachal Pradesh University. As part of the admission exercise prospective students are obliged to undertake the central counseling. Such applications have to be made in the college office using the prescribed application form in the time table that is arranged by the university. This process save time and makes admissions evaluation to be fair and merit based as required.
