Humera Khan College of Education, Mumbai, was set up in the year 2004 and it is one of the leading colleges to prepare teachers of tomorrow. This college is coeducational institution situated in Jogeshwari West and has the area of 0.5 acre of land for its campus. It is an affiliated college, which is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), aims at the least promoting quality teacher education programme. The college has 42 students and 8 faculty members to make sure they attend to students who wish to become teachers in a special way. 

Humera Khan College of Education has had several infrastructures most of which has the intention of facilitating the learning of the students. The library as a reference learning resource centre and host to a variety of learning and tutorial facilities. Those, who are interested in physical activities, the college offer facilities for sporting activities to ensure that every student maintains a balance between work and health. Also, facility such as an auditorium in the compound provides a home for other activities, seminars, celebrations and cultural experiences hence a lively college setting. 

Two full time courses are taught in the field of education at Humera Khan College of Education. B.Ed programme is flagship course of the institute with an intake capacity one hundred seats. However, as an addition to this, the college also has a Diploma in Elementary Education which is referred to as D.El.Ed programme. Each of the courses takes two years to complete and offers a rigorous education to future teachers. The education qualifications offered in these programmes are intermediate and post-intermediate level degrees intended to prepare students for teaching profession in the country, where the demand for professionals in the sphere is constantly increasing. 

Admissions in Humera Khan College of Education are well thought out and very clear. The B.Ed intake is affiliated with the Government of Maharashtra and the admission process is centrally controlled; the students are admitted on merit basis. The D.El.Ed programme also has same provision under which admission shall be open to only such candidates who have passed the qualifying examination and where ever the state Government has notified the entrance examination for admission to the D.El.Ed programme it has to be taken by the candidate desiring admission. This process is in compliance to the status of the college in terms of quality education and provision of education to any intending students regardless of their background.
