ID Patel College of Education, Ahmedabad: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

The Patel College of Education in Ahmedabad was established in the year 2007 and is one of the premiere institutes working for the future of education. Located near the Nirman Tower, opposite the Gujarat High Court on S.G. Highway, this affiliated college comes under the approval of the National Council for Teacher Education. Built on 3.042 acres of campus, the college offers students a co-educational environment, which allows a total student enrolment of 210. The college provides two specialised degree programmes in education through a faculty of 12 expert educators.

Patel College of Education n provides a set of well-furnished facilities in order to back up the learning of the student. A well-equipped library contains a collection of 3,500 textbooks, 600 reference books, and 24 periodicals, journals, and magazines to give ample opportunities to the students to gather knowledge on respective fields of interest. A further measure of its IT infrastructure is its state-of-the-art computer lab consisting of 30 computers with smartboard and video equipment for good exposure to educational technology. The college provides facilities for sports, a health center with first-aid services, an auditorium for events and seminars, and a canteen for refreshments. 

There are two full-time courses in ID Patel College of Education that are for the various aspects of teacher education. 

Admission to the ID Patel College of Education is strictly on the policy of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and entrance examination. In a like manner, the admission to the D.El.Ed programme is strictly done on merit following the policy of the marks scored in the qualifying exam and other selection processes as per the policy of the government. Admissions for the B.Ed programme are considered according to the policy prescribed by the state/UT administration and the affiliated University.
