Indian Engineering Services comprise of engineers who work under the Government of India and designated as Class – 1 officer. You can check the eligibility criteria below -(I) Nationality: A candidate must be either:(a) A citizen of India or (b) A subject of Nepal or A subject of Bhutan (II) Age Limits: A candidate for this examination must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on the 1st January, of the exam year.(III) Minimum Educational Qualifications: Obtained a degree in Engineering from a university incorporated by an act of the central or state legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as universities. Exam pattern is -Preliminary Test - This would be divided into 2 parts, Paper 1 and 2 and pattern would be objective. In paper 1, General Studies and Engineering Aptitude would be there. Exam duration is 2 hrs and total marks are 200. In paper 2, Engineering discipline would be there. You will be given 3 hrs and total marks are 300. Mains Examination - This would be divided into 2 parts,Paper 1 and 2 and pattern would be conventional which includes Engineering discipline 1 and 2. Exam duration is 3 hrs and total marks would be 300. Also, notification would be coming out on 27th-Sep-2017 and exam will be held on 7th-Jan-2018.

Indian Engineering Service Exam is a paper-pen based, four-part Govt service examination directed by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment of engineers in the Engineering Services of the Government of India. IES 2018 exam is conducted for recruitment of engineers in Govt services/sectors of railways, roadways, defence, energy and telecommunication. Any graduate engineer can apply for (ESE) Engineering Service Examination 2018.

Also, prelims exam notification would be coming on or after 27th-Sep-2017.

Exam Date is 7th-Jan-2018.

Exam pattern category wise-Paper-I (General Studies and Engineering Aptitude) - 2 hrs - 200 marks,Paper-II (Civil Engineering) - 3 hrs - 300 marks,Total - 500 marks.

Mechanical Engineering -Paper-I (General Studies and Engineering Aptitude) - 2 hrs - 200 marks,Paper-II (Mechanical Engineering) - 3 hrs - 300 marks,Total - 500 marks

Electrical Engineering -Paper-I (General Studies and Engineering Aptitude) - 2 hrs - 200 marks, Paper-II (Electrical Engineering) - 3 hrs - 300 marks, Total - 500 marks

Electronucs and telecommunication Engineering -

Paper-I (General Studies and Engineering Aptitude) - 2 hrs - 200 marks, Paper-II (Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering) - 3 hrs - 300 marks,Total - 500 marks

The first position offered is that of Asst. Executive engineer and the hierarchy ends at the position of Chairman/ Managing Director.A combined competitive examination is conducted by the Union Public Services Commission (UPSC) for recruitment to the Indian Engineering Services. The Examination constitutes of a written examination followed by an interview for the personality test.

You can not apply for IES exam from biotechnology.

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Civil Engineering

 

There are many jobs available if you clear Gate exam like you can try for PSUs as they provide good number of vacancies for the same. Along with that, after IES you can try in below provided fields -
assistant executive engineer
executive engineer.
executive engineer selection grade
chief engineer level-2
chief engineer level-1
board member as in case of railway

IES is better, Second best option is MET, Chetana is well known for Marketing.
NLDalmia and KJ Somaiaya are better known for Finance as well.

Go for dalmia among these options and choosing stream is your personal interest's choice..

College Infrastructure

College has all the necessary facilities and equipments. We have Library, free wifi , ccd , game room , the washroom are also hygiene and is being cleaned daily, the space there is also clean so overall everything is good.

IES college is best for MBA Students.

College Infrastructure

IES college infrastructure is very good. All Classrooms are AC. Also AC Library, AC Computer lab, AC Gaming Room, AC reading room available in college. All benches are very well, they get relaxation to body.

Its a good experience in this college. Quality education.

Hello everyone, i am Akash Pawar an student of IES,MCRC. The college boasts excellent infrastructure with all essential facilities readily available. The college bas specious well ventilated air conditioned library with numerous books. All classrooms are air conditioned. There is a nice bloomberg lab and cafe coffee day inside the building. Overall infrastructure is excellent.
