Indira College of Nursing, Trichy, was started in the year 2008 stands as a leading nursing college in Tamil Nadu and India. It has a total of 5 nursing courses which are all full time programmes offered at Indira College of Nursing. The B.Sc Nursing is the flagship programme and is the basic course in nursing education for a duration of four years. At post graduate level, the college has started following four M.Sc nursing programmes in Medical Surgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Obstertric and Gynaecological Nursing and Paediatric Nursing each of 2 years duration. The total intake for all the courses combined has been approved at a total of 70 and out of these B.Sc Nursing has the fastest turnover with 60 students.

Indira College of Nursing follows both the counselling system as well as management quota for admission. For the B.Sc Nursing programme 39 seats are available for counselling and the remaining 21 management seat are also available.
