Indra Singh B.Ed. College, Garhwa is situated in Kalyanpur, Garhwa Jharkhand, was established in the year 2006. It is one of the renowned college for teacher training. NCTE recognised, the college offers the following two professional courses in education stream. The institute is situated in a two-lane area of one and half acre and has 227 students strength with 32 faculties. In a co-educational institution, qualifications are obtained equally and generic. Each course has a duration of two years and the intake capacity of 100 seats in total for all the courses is 200. Admission procedure of Indra Singh B.Ed. College differs from course to course. The admission process in B.Ed programme is competitive entrance test held by Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board (JCECEB). This is beneficial in that it will sufficiently run the risk of selecting the best aspiring teachers to fill in teaching positions. The D.El.Ed programme, on the other hand, admits students according to the policy laid down by the state government/ UT administration.
