Institute of Education, Haldia, established in 2004, is an educational institute under the Indian Centre for Advancement of Research and Education (ICARE), which is a non-profit making voluntary organisation. It is affiliated to West Bengal University of Teachers’ Training, Education Planning and Administration (WBUTTEPA) and recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The institute offers only B.Ed. course as its academic programme. The IOE Haldia course duration is two years and the intake capacity is 100 students. The IOE Haldia eligibility criteria for B.Ed. course are graduation or post-graduation with at least 50% marks in aggregate. The IOE Haldia admissions are based on the marks obtained in the higher secondary or graduation level and the candidates have to fill the application form on the WBUTTEPA website.
