The Institute of Fine Arts was set up in the year 2004 in Chandigarh – a city known nationally and internationally for its creativity. Established at SCO-103, Sector 40C, Chandigarh, this institute has emerged as the harbinger of the numerous art passionate in region. The institute is currently delivering 13 different courses in 7 degree programmes, starting from diploma to doctoral level in the various areas of fine arts like MA in Fine Arts etc. Although there are no numbers concerning enrolment and faculty we can acknowledge that this institute is focused on delivering quality education mainly in the area of fine arts.

The course available to the students offers variety of specialisation including Painting, Applied Arts and Fine Arts for the students to practice in. Unfortunately, detailed statistics on the total number of seats available today and the graduation rate in recent years are unknown, but the institute is distinguished by the fact that it offers highly specialised artistic education, performs classes in small groups, guarantees comprehensive individual tutoring.
