International School of Design, Mulund West, Mumbai: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

International School of Design (INSD) is private college catering to the needs of those who want to become interior designers or fashion designers, situated in Mulund West, Mumbai. Located on the 9th floor of Ecstacy Commercial, it provides various design programmes for the designers. INSD is viewed as one of the significant players in Mumbai’s design learning. The institute offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in fashion design and interior design apart from diploma programmes to meet all levels of education. 

Facilities which the students get in INSD include the college library that is stocked with vast resources in design and related literature to preserve sources and facilitate student use. School facilities enable students to work via practical sections of the course and practice their ideas in the special departments of a departmental laboratory. These seven programmes are distributed through three kinds of degrees that are Bachelor, Master and Diploma. The institute offers four years’ Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programmes in Fashion Design, Interior Design, two years’ Master of Design programmes in Fashion Design and Interior Design and two years Diploma in Fashion Design and Interior Design. There is also an Advanced Diploma for Fashion Design for additional specialised information related to the field. The faculty of the institute has been kept to 10 members in order to assure  effective guidance to the aspirants.

The ISD admission procedure is aimed at finding and developing creativity by giving the best talent the qualifiers to do it. Since INSD is a specialised design institute it is probable that admission to the institute may depend on a set list of criteria such as academic performance, design portfolio and the interview conducted for the admission procedure, although the criteria may differ from programme to programme.
