The Irinjalakuda Cooperative School of Nursing located at Thrissur, Kerala started in 2004 is a college exclusively for nursing courses in Kerala state of India. This is a co-educational institute situated in Kolothumpady, Nadavarmbara P.O It was approved by the Indian Nursing Council (INC) which makes sure that the nursing stream is given proper standard training. This school has a small area of only five acres and accepts 50 total students with 7 faculties. At the moment, the institute has one course of any kind of specialization; nursing which, trains professional caregivers with specialized training in a concentrated manner.

The school boasts of providing various extra-curricular amenities for the improvement of learning for the students. The campus boasts of a library with adequate book stocking sufficiently equipping the students with nursing literature. In a bid to support the health of its students and staffs who have interest in sports and athletics, the institute provides sports grounds and gym to supplement more on the students’ academic activities, nutrition and health. Availability of the auditorium helps in conducting events and seminars which in turn helps in making the education marvellous. Students will also find ample opportunities in on campus cafeteria, laboratory fully equipped with hi-technological gadgets and excellent IT facilities. It boasts of providing accommodation for its students in the institute’s hostel facilities for both the male and female students. Further, there involves a health center with first aid facilities that show the particular concern set by the institute towards students.

Irinjalakadu Cooperative School of Nursing offers at present only one full time course that is GNM full time course. This course is a three year diploma course and aims to ensure students are well equipped when joining the nursing profession. Till date, the institute has the capacity to admit 25 students for this program which will ensure lot of focus on each student and quality education. As mentioned earlier, there is no particular graduation data for the latest year possibly due to the focus on a single-course but specialized course in nursing.
