The Islamia College of Education, Hyderabad was started in the year 2002 and is one of the leading institutions in the modern world to build up the future of education. This co-educational college is situated in Hyderabad city of Telangana and has been preparing potential educators for more than twenty years. The B.Ed programme with an approved intake capacity of one hundred offers preparation for secondary/higher secondary teachers. The D.Ed programme consisting of 50 seats is meant to train teachers for the primary and upper primary sections.

Like other institutions, Islamia College of Education has merit based admission system meaning that it pulls its selection from marks scored during the entry test and or qualifying examination. The admissions for the B.Ed programme with observed as per the norms of the state government/UT administration and the affiliated university. Likewise, in the case of the D.Ed programme also admission is strictly on merit by following the state government/UT administration regulations accordingly.
