Islamia Faridiya College of Education, Kishtwar is one of the premier institutions of education started in the year 2001 situated in Jammu and Kashmir State – India. Located at Jammia Masjid Kishtwar this affiliated college has been preparing prospective teachers for more than two decades. The institute comprises of a small area of 1.3 acres of land, which accommodates its 130 student capacity within a closed space. Having 11 members in the faculty and an adequate ratio of students to teachers, the College provides individual focus and quality education.

Islamia Faridiya College of Education has established several facility structures. Modern equipped library is the source of knowledge that can offer students a great number of materials about educational courses. Departmental laboratories exist in the campus, which provides the trainee teacher with practical session, which is important for student teachers. An auditorium for multiple events and seminars contributes to the active students life in the university. To ensure student comfort the college extends a cafeteria facility, and a Health center with first aid facilities as well as first-rate Information Technology resources. This is evident in the volleyball, kho-kho, table tennis and cricket, which are some of the activities conducted to promote team spirit and exercise. The college also has a girls hostel which has 28 rooms with in - house mess and dining hall and power backup to facilitate out station girls students.

Islamia Faridiya College of Education is dedicated to the cause of offering quality teacher education hence it offers a B.Ed programme. This is a two-year full course which aims at producing worthy educationist to meet the needs of the education sector. As should be expected of any programme of study leading to the professional teaching qualification, the B.Ed programme is aimed at preparing student teachers for future practice in teaching by providing them with skills, knowledge and teaching practice experience.

Currently, Islamia Faridiya College of Education admits students on merit of their marks in the qualifying examination and entrance examination. The admission policies are determined by the state government/Union Territory administration, and the affiliated university in which the college is located.
