Jaat College of Education, Karnal: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Jaat College of Education, Karnal, was established in the year 2007 as an affiliated college in Kunjpura, Haryana. Currently, the institute provides education courses from its vast and green 3-acre campus adhering to all the norms set by NCTE. A total of 189 students can be catered to, including of all categories, which means students can get a good amount of exposure to the fellow beings here, and the faculty will be 10 in number, to be able to provide a concentrated learning environment.

There are many facilities in the college that are planned to make the learning experience of the student more amicable. The college has a well-equipped library acting as a centre for knowledge that provides a comprehensive range of resources including books, periodicals, CDs, and some related e-books. An open access system and computer-based catalogue give improved access to faculty and students alike. Other than physical well-being, various sports facilities in the college organize many sports events throughout the year. It is the residency college with hostel accommodation of boys and girls to stay comfortably in case they are from out of station. The institute's IT infrastructure and educational technology laboratory make sure every student is in command of basics in this field of digital literacy. A hostel facility for boys and girls is also provided to make outstation students stay in comfort. Other facilities for the convenience of campus life include a canteen and transport facility.

Jaat College of Education runs a total of two courses, both full time. The B.Ed. program has an approved intake of 100, and D.El.Ed offers 50 seats. Both programs are well designed to make students a successful teaching and educational administrator. Because the college only focuses on these two programs, it has specialized in attention towards teacher education and development.

The entire admission procedure in Jaat College of Education is based on merit, including marks secured in the qualifying examination and/or the entrance examination. The selection of the students is done on the implemented State Government of Haryana admission policy and the vice-chancellor of the affiliated university. Admission into the B.Ed. program is done through merit in the qualifying examination or through the selection process conducted by the state government and the university. In the case of D.El.Ed like in other professional courses, admissions are made on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination or any other selection process as per the policy or norms to be recommended by the state government.
