Co-educational institution, Jagdish Chandra DAV College at Dasuya, was established in 1971, situated in the State of Punjab in India. Associated with Panjab University, Chandigarh, it has got NAAC ‘A’ grade accreditation for the concerned course. Located on a 10 acre land, JCDAV College provides a plethora of undergraduate and post graduate courses to its 1,552 student strength which shows a 50-50 %split between male and female population with 595 male and 746 female students. The institution has 35 qualified faculty members to meet the quality education needs of the 16 departments.

Jagdish Chandra DAV College offers a range of up to date facilities that can support the learning needs of its students. A rich library for students containing all sorts of teaching and non-teaching aids and resources keeping it open all time for the students. The campus is well equipped with best practical laboratories in the country and it encourages innovations. Every sports lover can find excellent facilities of 171435 sq ft of football play fields as well as badminton, basketball, volley ball and kho-kho courts. It also matters for the student’s welfare through the operation of a health centre with 24 hours medical services, a gymnasium for those into exercising. A girls hostel of 80 students provides safe and comfortable residential place for out-station girl students.

JCDAV College provides all type of academic courses which total 22 courses and are offered in 9 different types of degrees. It has both undergraduate and postgraduate studies with the college offering 82% of its students at Undergraduate level and 18% of the students at Postgraduate level. Pioneering undergraduate programmes consist of BCA, B.Com, BA and B.Sc in different disciplines; the post graduate studies range between MA, M.Sc and PGDCA. It also offers need base vocationally designed and developed courses like B.Voc in Organic Farming and Hardware & Networking from the existing curriculum and an interface programme in the Community College in Multimedia (Graphic & Animation).

Practically all the admissions at JCDAV College are based on merit, the undergraduate admission is mostly based on the performance in the last qualifying examination. In regard to postgraduate programmes, the college adopts both centralised and decentralised selection. OCET is conducted for M.Sc admissions whereas MA and PGDCA programmes have merit of the qualification examination.
