Jai Bharti College of Education, Hamirpur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Jai Bharti College of Education is situated in Hamirpur town of Himachal Pradesh, was established in the year 2011, and this college was founded exclusively for teacher education programme. This is a co-educational institute established in Hamirpur district and recognised by National council for teacher education (NCTE) for the standard education experience. At present, the college occupied a building complex that could accommodate 50 students at most, and had 8 members of faculty staff.

Jai Bharti College of Education has a number of infrastructures which facilitate student learning in order to deliver quality education to the learners. Among them, we have distinct hostellers for boys and girls, a convenient facility for students who possibly travel long distances from home. The campus also has a functional library that offers students an opportunity to learn more apart from the classroom lessons. For enhancement of practical learning the college has maintained departmental laboratories and through this facility, the student can get the practical experience of different methods of education. A hall at the campus is put to use in occasions, seminars, and administrative cultural activities to enhance the lifestyles of the college.

As far as courses are concerned, at present Jai Bharti College of Education offers only one full time programme that is Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). The programme duration is two years and its purpose is to train students for teaching jobs in elementary educational establishments.

The admission process of Jai Bharti College of Education is done on merit base keeping in view the policies of state government of Himachal Pradesh. The prospects for admission are judged according to the marks they obtain in the qualifying test, the standard of which is the higher secondary (10+2) or an equivalent examination. Sometimes, entrance examination or any other procedure that may be in fashion within the present state government may be conducted during the admission process.
