Jakir Hossain Institute of Pharmacy, Murshidabad was established in the year 2015. This affiliated college is located in Miapur, Murshidabad, West Bengal. The 2.07-acre campus, the institute has been approved by the Pharmacy Council of India and the All India Council for Technical Education; hence, the standard of education will ensure better industry exposure. With a strength of 120 students and 12 faculty members, the institute permits concentration in this region of study for the would-be pharmacists.

The institute proudly boasts of all kinds of facilities, from a well-equipped library that acts as a hub for knowledge, rich in pharmaceutical literature and research material to modern laboratories catering to various specializations within the course of pharmacy to offer practical experience. This institution also has very good IT infrastructure, where the students are updated with the most recent technology in their respective fields. The working Institute has a spacious auditorium for extracurricular activities or any other academic events to take place. It runs two comprehensive Pharmaceutical courses at the degree level: namely, a 2-year Diploma in Pharmacy, D.Pharma, and a 4-year Bachelor of Pharmacy, B.Pharma course. Both of them are full-time programs aimed to give in-depth knowledge in the subjects related to pharmaceutical sciences with a practical bent of mind. The D. Pharma course has an approved intake of 60 students per annum.
