Jamshedpur Cooperative Law College was founded in 2003, and is one of the leading Law Colleges in the city of Jamshedpur within the state of Jharkhand. It is one of the prestigious university level of institution that is recognised and accredited by Bar Council of India which is BCI. This college with its 231 students is located on a small land area of five acres, which allows for a homelike feeling, yet at the same time a highly concentrated climate for education. Because of faculty strength of 3 faculty members, students are given individual attention and quality education.

The college has installed several features that help to improve the learning environment of students in the institution. In the middle of these is the college library, which many people refer to as a lawyer’s laboratory. This fully stocked resource center contains thousands of text books, all India report (AIR) bound volumes and law journals that support both the student and the faculty in their research needs. This library is always replenished with new publications that would be important for the scholarly and research activities of the school; the school library is connected to the internet for the grasping of online education.

Jamshedpur Cooperative Law College currently only has one course of study – The LLB. This full time course takes three years and has an approved capacity for 120 students. The LLB programme is aimed at enabling students produce adequate legal knowledge and to enable them face challenges in the legal profession successfully. Al though the college only offers this one degree they are proving that they are dedicated to providing quality legal education by concentrating their efforts within this field.

Jamshedpur Cooperative Law College has fairly simple admission procedure with the weightage given to an entrance examination. This approach ensures that the college takes students who possess the ability and the capacity to do legal studies.
