Jamui B.Ed. College was founded in 2012, and is one of the affiliated colleges in Jamui, Bihar. The institute being a co-education set-up is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education; two basic courses run by the college are Bachelor of Education and Diploma in Elementary Education, having a total enrolment of 176 students and the strength of the faculty is 31.

The Jamui B.Ed. College has a whole range of facilities that aid in developing better learning among students. This includes a well-stocked library with an open-access system, international journals and periodicals, educationally enlightening CDs, spacious architecturally designed classrooms with modern furniture and teaching aids, and a state-of-the-art computer laboratory with internet access facilities and 16 personal computers to help provide the student with all technological requirements. There is also a language laboratory in the college with advanced audio-visual aids for the purpose of language learning. Indoor and outdoor sports spaces, a gym, and a canteen have been provided to support holistic development. An auditorium serves as the venue for events and seminars, while a health centre with first-aid facilities ensures student well-being.

The two major programs offered by Jamui B.Ed. College are the two-year full-time Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.). These programs prepare a candidate for a teaching career and provide the required skill and knowledge to excel in the chosen field.

Admission in Jamui B.Ed. College will be made purely on merit based on the marks obtained in the Qualifying Examination and/or Entrance Examination. The college fully subscribes to the admission policy enunciated by the State Government of Bihar and the Affiliated University.
