Janata College, Kabuganj, was founded in the year 1964 and is a rural affiliated college in the district of Cachar, Assam. This co-educational institution spans over a 4.5-acre campus and has been awarded the status of a NAAC-accredited institution. The college imparts a BA program and has a total enrolment of students as 2,268. With a faculty strength of 17, Janata College provides a very conducive learning atmosphere to its students.

The college has provided a range of facilities to be used to enhance student experience. The institute accepts entrance based on marks in the Common University Entrance Test (CUET UG), meeting national benchmarks for entry into institutions of higher education.
