The Jang Bahadur Singh Patel Degree College is located in Jalalpur Kasba, Allahabad, in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The college has been affiliated and working for the cause of students since its inception in 2004. The college has few faculty members, with an allowed intake of 520 students, to create intense interaction among students. This affiliated college is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The college offers a focused approach to teacher education. 

At the moment, the facility grants only one degree program, which goes to show the level of proficiency in the discipline of elementary education. The college is endowed with a number of facilities that are supposed to be of assistance and support to the learners for them to enjoy their time and learning atmosphere. The library is a center of learning and research for the students, making them extract essentials for their studies' coursework. Physical fitness facilities are available for those who wish to stay fit. Everything is put in place: the IT infrastructure will ensure that students get access to modern technology, which is very essential during present times in the digital era. The departmental laboratories are for the practical learning of the student, whereas the auditorium is used for events and seminars. The college maintains a health center with first-aid facilities for the well-being of the students. And a canteen is there for all the relaxation or refreshments a student needs. Currently, the Jang Bahadur Singh Patel Degree College has one full-time course—the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed)—with a sanctioned intake of 100 students per year for two years, providing a testimony that the college yet continues with a focused and quality-based environment. The D.El.Ed programme not only helps the student in pursuing a career in elementary education but also prepares the student for becoming a competent teacher in providing quality education. 

The admission process at Jang Bahadur Singh Patel Degree College is based on merit, considering marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The admission procedure is governed by the Admission Policy of the Government of Andhra Pradesh State, U.T. Administration, the affiliated university, aiming towards a systematic, objective and transparent process without any influence at any level.
