Jasdev Singh Sandhu College of Education, Patiala: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

An affiliated college, Jasdev Singh Sandhu College of Education was set up in 2004, and is located in Kauli Patiala, Punjab. The institute is recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and has three regular courses in education. Having a total area of 18 acres, the college currently has 464 students and 19 faculty members. The institute also offers programme specially in teacher education for both male and female candidates, B.Ed, D.El.Ed and MA Education. Particularly as being a college dedicated to the training and development of future educators, the college intends to accomplish its mission to produce competent teaching personnel.

A varied number of amenities at the college has been established to help learners in their academic pursuits as well as personal development. A fully equipped library with books marking our collection reaches approximately 8000, dictionaries, encyclopaedas, newspapers and Magazine subscriptions. The campus has an attractive multipurpose auditorium that can occupy over 200 people and can accommodate seminars, conferences and College events. The on-site facility of a gym, indoor games etc. is useful for physical fitness of students. It also has modern Infomation Technology and Wide coverage of Wireless Broadband internet access all over the college compound. A cafeteria provides a wide range of diets, on the other hand, a first aid room is used to treat minor injuries. As part of transport facilities offered the institution has its own fleets of buses to aid in transportation among different routes for the convenience of students, staff.

Jasdev Singh Sandhu College of Education at present provides three full-time courses all related to the domain of education and teaching. 

Admission to Jasdev Singh Sandhu College of Education is strictly on the merit list considering the marks scored in the qualifying examination and/or entrance test as per rules and regulation of Banu State government, U.T. Administration and as per the norms prescribed by affiliated Panjab University. Entrance test forms an important criteria for the B.Ed program with or without any written examination as per rules and regulation of state government and university. The D.El.Ed program also has the same admission procedures as the above mentioned.
