Jauhar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Rampur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Jauhar Institute of Engineering and Technology was established as a constituent college in the Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, in the year 2010. The institute offers various programs in the fields of Engineering and Technology to cater to the demands of students aspiring to attain quality technical education. There are 9 courses in 3 degrees: B.Tech, Diploma, and BCA. The campus of the institute is located at Jauhar Nagar, Rampur, which provides a friendly atmosphere for learning and growth.

There are quite a few facilities of the college that would be beneficial to students' experience and support for academic pursuit. One of the central facilities of the institute is a college library with about 35,000 volumes, and it adds around 5,000 to 6,000 volumes every year. It also offers access to its e-book and e-journal resources through DELNET and provides for a knowledge-enhancement environment. The institution has a gym and sports facilities for the physical wellbeing of the students. There is an IT infrastructure which also backs the modern learning needs, a cafeteria where students can rest and socialize, and the Rabindranath Tagore Auditorium, which serves as a multipurpose hall for a myriad of activities and events. The institute is having separate hostel facilities for boys as well as girls for the ease and convenience of the students coming from different parts of the country.

Courses available in JIET are 9 in number. Out of those, 5 are B.Tech, 3 are Diploma courses, and 1 is a BCA. All the programs are full-time courses. All disciplines of engineering, which encompass Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Electronics, Mechanical and Civil Engineering, are offered under the B.Tech programs. A number of Diploma courses are available for students wanting to pursue shorter, specialized courses-courses that are provided in areas of Civil, Electrical and Electronics, and Mechanical Engineering. A student can pursue a BCA course if she/ he wishes to pursue computer applications.

In JIET, the admission process has been designed in a systematic way so that it can easily be accessed by the students. Most engineering colleges take scores of national- or state-level engineering entrance exams.
