Jawaharlal Nehru College of Social Work, Nanded, was established in 1992. It has been a prominent institution for social work education throughout Maharashtra. Situated in Cidco, Nanded, it is an affiliated college that sprawls across 2 acres of campus space, providing focus-based learning to those looking forward to a career as social workers. The college is accredited by the NAAC, an indicator of the quality it provides to students. The institution has a total enrolment of 390 students and 18 teaching members; therefore, it can give individual attention to students with proper guidance.

The two specialised degree courses offered by the college are Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) and Master of Social Work (MSW), that cater to undergraduate and postgraduate levels of study in the domain of social work. At the centre of these are the libraries specialising in Rural Development, Labour Welfare & Personnel Management and Family & Child Welfare. The college has a special reading room for BSW, MSW, and Ph.D. students in the library. In addition to that, question bank for MPSC/UPSC special cell is also catered to. The infrastructural facilities also comprise an auditorium used for events and seminars. There is a cafeteria too provided for staff and students and strong IT infrastructure. The college also takes care of the physical fitness aspect as it has sports facilities and a gym.
