Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Postgraduate College, Barabanki, was established in the year 1964 and is one of the affiliated colleges situated at the heart of Uttar Pradesh, Civil Lines, Barabanki. The institution has served almost six decades of its service in the educational upliftment of the surrounding area. The college provides courses in different streams at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The college has a faculty strength of 43 dedicated teachers who work hard to impart quality education to the students.

The college has many facilities that are intended to further enhance the learning experience of the students. It has a very resourceful library for academics, featuring a reading room, journal section, photocopying facilities for teachers, all put in place to encourage research and learning activities. The institution also does its best to make its laboratories well-equipped, particularly in Biology and Chemistry, in its quest to equip students with practical skills that are very relevant. Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Postgraduate College offers a total of six courses. These are offered over five different degrees, each being a full-time course. Their Course list also contains a mix of undergraduate and postgraduate programs. All undergraduate courses in BA, BSc, BBA, BCA are three years long. The Postgraduate courses include an MA Hindi, one in Sociology, each two-year duration.
