Jayasanthi B.Ed College for Men & Women was established in the year 2009 at Erode as a co-educational institution for the development of the teachers. With a compact land area of 2.07 acres, this affiliated college is situated in Sanathikkalmedu, PK Pudur, Guruvareddiyur, Anthiyur (TK), Erode, Tamil Nadu. At the moment, the institute provides only one programme- Bachelor of Education (B.ED) with an aggregated full cohort of 200 students. Incorporating 16 member faculty, Jayasanthi B.Ed. College offers adequate focus on each student which is necessary in order to provide quality education to the future educators.

Jayasanthi B.Ed College for Men & Women has education facilities that can be grouped as physical amenities that improve learning environment and student development. This library has a rich collection of 5434 books, journals and magasines in order to promote academic sessions. There is provision for state of art laboratories for Psychological laboratory, Educational technology laboratory, physical science laboratory, computer laboratory, biological science laboratory, and art/crafts laboratory. Such amenities are important as they provide practical opportunities needed by future teachers. The college also has a conference hall for conducting seminar and other academic activities. For physical fitness and recreation there are available the student’s sports ground and gym. The mentioned campus facilities consist of an auditorium for various occasions and cultural performances.

The Jayasanthi B.Ed. College provides only one full time programme that is the Bachelor of Education [B.Ed.] Programme. Intended as a two-year degree programme, this curriculum would give the learners all the pedagogical knowledge and skills that may be pertinent in teaching.

The admission policy of Jayasanthi B.Ed. College is in compliance with the state governmental policy/U.T. Administration and the university to which it is affiliated. Selections are made on merit, based on marks scored in the qualifying as well as entrance test, if any.
