JC Bose Institute of Education and Research is a worthy institution of learning located in Burdwan, West Bengal since 2013. This affiliated college, recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) is a dedicated college for teacher education. Owned by a small 2.33-acre of land, the institute provides a good learning atmosphere and environment. Currently the institute has 200 students and there are 18 faculties which are an asset and control an appropriate student-teacher ratio that aids in attending and educating all the students effectively. Co-education bolster the environment to be diverse in nature in addition to ensuring that learners expecting to teach in the near future are well equipped to handle the real life classrooms.

It is important for the institute to take pride in its offer of various learning amenities to improve on the learning ability of students. Well-stocked library also functions as an information centre in which all kinds of books for research and study are readily available. JC Bose Institute of Education and Research has excellent information technology facilities, being up to date in present day trends in learning. Departmental laboratories are important in a way that student gets the hands on experience which is important in the education field. For comprehensive growth, there are sports centres to ensure the students get to develop their bodies as they as well as team work from tournaments. As of now, JC Bose Institute of Education and Research has only given one main course, the Bachelor of Education course. This course is a two-year course done full time and is aimed at producing professional teachers. This institute has an approved number of admission for only a hundred students for this course, that show its concern of quality education while admitting a large number of students willing to become teachers. This approach benefits the institute in that it channel its resources and specialisation on providing a wide and efficient teacher training programme.

Authority of admission of students to JC Bose Institute of Education and Research is strictly based on merit in order to meet the policy of the state government and the university affiliation. Admission of all aspiring candidates is done based on performance in a qualifying examination on which could be the previous degree made. In instances, one needs to write an entrance examination and other selection processes are also conducted before admission.
