Jind Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jind was established in the year 1998 as an affiliated college. It is located near HUDA Sector-9 on Safidon Road in Jind, Haryana. This institution has got approval from AICTE and offers various programs in the field of engineering. The campus extends over 2.655 acres, providing an ideal atmosphere for technical education. The institute has a present student enrolment of 90 in total and a faculty strength of 11. JIET offers 7 courses across 3 degrees, essentially on areas connected with the field of engineering. This institute is highly aimed for its sincere commitment to quality education in the areas of computer science, mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

JIET also emphasizes physical fitness and recreation, featuring various sports facilities including outdoor as well as indoor games.

It offers a total of 7 different courses, ranging from undergraduate to postgraduate levels. For UG: It offers four B.Tech programs at undergraduate level in Computer Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Electrical Engineering. The Institute offers M.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering and Electrical Engineering for postgraduate studies. Further, JIET has a BBA program for the students who want to pursue management studies. All engineering courses are full-time courses, designed to give much exposure in terms of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in respective fields. Across all courses combined, the approved intake comes to 174. It has, therefore, provided a focused learning environment with personalized attention. 

Jind Institute of Engineering and Technology basically has its admission process through national-level entrance examinations.
