Jyotirmoy School of Education, Sonarpur, was founded in the year 2012 and is a co-educational institution in the Kolkata district of West Bengal. This affiliated college has the approval from the NCTE, New Delhi. The institute spreads over 22 acres, with an atmosphere that helps one to learn and grow. With an enrolment of 160 students and a faculty strength of 17, Jyotirmoy School of Education is definitely in a position to give personalized attention and impart quality education to students.

Jyotirmoy School of Education offers only one full-time course: the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program. 

Admission to the B.Ed course in this college is made in accordance with the rules and regulations framed by the University of Calcutta. The course structure of Jyotirmoy School of Education is based on a comprehensive scoring system. Here, the marks obtained by the candidate in their qualifying examination play a major role. The institute follows university-prescribed guidelines while considering admissions. The scoring system allocates marks for Madhyamik, Higher Secondary examination, undergraduate degree course—arts/science/commerce/business administration/computer applications—and postgraduate degree courses—arts/science/commerce/master of business administration/master of computer applications.
