Kalaimahal College of Education, affiliated to Tamil Nadu teachers education university, is the prominent college for teacher training situated at nagappattinam started in the year of 2006. This co-educational institute affiliated to the state university has various education focused programmes. Affiliated to the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), the college is at present located on an extensive area of 11.38 acre. The college has a capacity to admit 305 students within a faculty of 24 educators and 1 administrate staff. The most popular course here, the B.Ed programme, takes 100 students, The other three programmes D.El.Ed as well as B.Sc B.Ed and B.A B.Ed has a capacity of 50 each.
