Kamala Nehru College, Delhi admissions 2025 are open.
The infrastructure of Knc is very good and the amenities available in the college are very much student friendly with in campus stationary shops, auditoriums, community halls, playgrounds, cafeteria and many more.
I will be sharing my discipline particularly, so the political science department is very good. The faculty here is very helpful as well as the classroom setups are also very interactive in nature making in easier to learn.
The placement cell in our college is relatively poor in performance since student themself are not much inclined towards placements as such. Reason behind that is - most of them either want to pursue master's degree or prepare for civil service examinations.
The college Infrastructure was very well maintained considering it's year of foundation. The main attraction would definitely be the Choupal and the Cafetaria. There are various new building as well which includes Ac facilities and high tech facilities to learn more conveniently.
The Political Science Department Is very well established at KNC. All the faculty members are so cooperative and well balanced with their relation with the students. The main attraction would be the classroom discussions that really ignites an environment of learning.
As per my knowledge the placement record in our department especially is below average since students don't really seek for placements after their graduation, most of them goes for civil service preparation or post graduation because of which the placements is somewhat negligible.
Our college has an above average infrastructure. It has many facilities like well maintained computer labs,Garden and a playground too. They also provides smart classrooms. college has wifi facility but mobile network doesn't work here manytimes. It doesn't provide hostel facility.
The faculty of our course is not good. I am pursuing psychology. They take our studies lightly and are not bothered. I didn't like their way of teaching. I had to watch youtube videos. English faculty is good . They helped us a lot.
You can get good placements from here. Around 30-40% Students get placed in reputed companies. Average salary is around 25k-32k per month. Highest package was 7 lpa. You will get good support from the placement cell.
KNC has one of the best infrastructure in du. The college provides wifi connection and there is a huge library that has so many books in it. Playground is also there for basketball and volleyball. Cafeteria is the best part,it has tasty food.
I completed my Ba economics (hons) form there .Our teachers were so much knowledgeable but many a times they were not bothered about our studies. They used to take it lightly. English teacher was good and friendly. Syllabus is also nice, exams are not too tough.
Private companies come to college for recruitment. Placement cell is there to help students clear their doubts. Companies like IACt global,Zomato and Wipro came. Average package was 4 lpa while the highest package was 8 lpa.
Yes
I find kamala nehru college to have good enough infrastructure. The college is easy to navigate and is full of greenery. It has the perfect spots to sit and get your work done. The biggest problem I feel is the washroom, they are rarely clean. The Wi-Fi does not work as seamlessly due to the jammers in the college. The library is full of books and study material and it is very quiet therefore perfect to study.
Teachers who do take classes are on time, only a few teacher cancel classes frequently, while other are quite regular. Like any other college, the course isn't taught in as much detail as the books. Ultimately, you do have to refer to the study materials to prepare for your exams.
Since I'm still in my first year, I do not have any experience or an idea of the placements. After conversing with the seniors, I deducted that since the course BA Program program isn't the most well-known, you have to have a really good CGPA to get the advantage of placements.
The best thing about KNC is its infrastructure. If you are looking for quite place, this is the place for you. College provides various facilities such as free wifi, computer labs, seminar room, indoor and outdoor sports. Students can borrow books from library if they have library card
I am studying ba(hons)political science and the teachers are quite amazing here. My teachers are highly qualified and have around 15 years of experience. They are very supportive since the day of orientation. But i feel curriculum is not updated in terms of the job offered in the field
To be honest not many students were placed last year. Only 40% of our seniors got placed. Companies like KPMG,Wipro,WFS,Planetspark come for recruitment but they don't offer good salary. Average salary is around 3 lpa
I feel it is value for money
Campus life is amazing in Delhi university and especially in kamala nehru
As it is a all girls college so it provides every facilities accordingly, college outside area is pretty clean. Library at KNC is the heart of itscampus, it has infrs of three campus building, canteen food is awesome and hygienic too. There are three computer labs inside the campusand 2 mathematics practical labs. One sports ground which has a facility of playing cricket, volleyball, footvall and one basketball cout is also there. Wifi is not available inside the college.
I studied B.SC (HONS) mathematics, as the syallbus invludes all the practical knowledge for future and learning perspective. The teachers are very helpful here, they are friendly in nature and helps you in extracurricular activities too. Practical knowledge of R software and latex helps us in getting good internships.
Many courses students got placed through college placement only but in my course placement only but in my course students prepare for their master and do interships, about 50- 60 % got good internships in well known campanies and around 80% students of other courses cracked jobs with average salary of 8-10 LPA. Staffs are very supportive and tells us many things through seminars and workshops.
The college comes under the university of Delhi. The location of the college is one of the posh areas in Delhi with a metro station at 15 min walk. Apart from that, the college infrastructure is mediocre, however the garden and Chaupal area is well maintained. The college doesn't a hostel but there are a lot of affordable pg. and flats available nearby with access to markets and hanging spots. Tt has an auditorium, lecture and tutorial rooms, computer labs, ground basketball court, spacious canteen and Nescafe and one of the best libraries in du.
The college follows the course guidelines issued by the university of Delhi and has a very good faculty. The professors are well educated and very friendly and the college is strict for attendance and assignments after the new education policy was introduced.
I don't have much idea about that yet. the placements mostly depend on the course you have selected. though there is a very active placements and internships cell which provides various opportunities.
yes, the fees of the college are very minimal considering its a government college. however, the curriculum, faculty and exposure of the college given value for the money you invested.
The campus life is vibrant with various societies holding one event after another. the societies of the college are very active, and the canteen offers good food while the Chaupal is the usual hanging spot.
College has all necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipments. Labs are there, library is huge, sports center is also there. All these are used and well main. Cleanliness and hygiene is maintained.
I did MA English. Syllabus is according to guidelines by DU. Curriculum is updated and we are made job ready by the end of our course. Quality of teaching is very good as compared to other pg classes.
Placements are poor. Salary offers were below industry standards. The process was easy though and college was supportive throughout the process. But better packages and opportunities were there for other courses.
Fee is almost the same across all DU colleges. A part of money I invested here was worth it. There is scope for improvement. Services provided can be more better. Placement opportunities should increase so that as freshers we are placed at right places after graduation.
Being a pg course, the usual undergraduate college life is not what we get to enjoy here. Colleagues are good. College staff are supportive. Location of the college is good and is safe. It can handle all sorts of emergencies.
The college has great infrasturcure with paintings on the wall and a bamboo room, the auditorium is spacious too, have good canteen and Nescafe. The college has basket ball court and a large ground. The classes are clean, and also have adequate laboratories.
As being a DU college it definitely meets the standard for excellent academics, regular classes are being conducted, teachers are supportive and friendly, I have done my bachelor's in Geography, so I can definitely say that the college do have the best teachers.
The college has its own placement cell and apartment from this it has many more other societies, where students can nurture themselves. Even I got a job from the college placement only though it was not related to my course Geography, bjt my friends from other departments like commerce got into kpmg, pwc and many more good companies.
