Kamath Institute of Technology, Udupi was established in 2007, is an affiliated college located in Hombadi-Mandadi Village of Karnataka state. This institution that occupies a 10 acre grounds has been preparing technical human capital for more than a decade. Currently, the institute has 151 students enrolled, and the strength of the faculty is twenty nine of them, which make the learning atmosphere selective. The college major in diploma programmes which offers three different courses in engineering fields to meet different goals and dreams of technology technician or engineers.

It feels proud in offering a list of amenities and services to improve the learning environment of the students. Kamath Institute of Technology also consists of two different hostels for boys and girls to provide the out-station students a comfortable stay. A intellectual resource centre in the form of a library is a formal centre of information whilst well-equipped practical instructional facilities in the form of laboratory. Due to the college’s information technology system, the students are in touch with the modern technological developments. For all round personality side the institute has sports facilities and a gym included. An auditorium is used to host various events and seminar to help create a lively student community. Sometimes students need a break, so the cafeteria allows students to take a rest and communicate with friends; in case of any emergencies a Health Center with first-aid facilities is located on the premises.

At present the Kamath Institute of Technology offers only three full time Diploma courses which are of three years duration each. Some of these programmes are Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Diploma in Civil Engineering. All courses are taught with the aim of getting practical hands on experience and the skills current in the market. Total student population enrolled in the institute is 151 and the institute understands the importance of a good student faculty ratio for learning.
