Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS), Hubli was established in 1957. It was earlier known as Karnataka Medical College but changed to Karnataka Institute of Medical Sciences, Hubli in 1997. The college is approved by the National Medical Commission. KIMS Hubli is affiliated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Bangalore. The college provides undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses to students in the field of medical science. KIMS Hubli courses cover the MBBS programme at the undergraduate level; MD and MS programmes at the postgraduate level; and M.Ch Urology programme at the doctoral level.
KIMS Hubli admissions to the UG, PG and Doctoral courses depend on the NEET, NEET-PG and NEET-SS examination ranks, respectively. The cutoff for admission in the various courses varies due to a number of factors. The college also provides a range of facilities for students. KIMS Hubli facilities include library facilities, hostel facilities, sports facilities and many more facilities.
