Karuna College of Pharmacy Palakkad has come into existence in the year 2010 is an affiliated college situated at Iringuttoor, Thirumittacode P.O., near Pattambi, Palakkad-Dist, Kerala. PCI approved this institution that is dedicated to pharmaceutical learning. Laying on a sprawling 5 acre land, the college now has the capacity of 228 students and has 15 faculty members. In this college, the institution has only one course offer which is B.Pharma, but this course has an approved annual admission capacity of sixty students. The college given the fact that is a dedicated college for pharmacy education fits the above criterion by training and producing students with pharmacy skills in the region.

The college has state of the art facilities that are useful in achieving its educational objectives. It is a key component of academic materials: 4,489 books, 20 national and international subscribed journal. The students can easily explore National Digital Library, SWAYAM, NPTEL courses as well as e-journals. The Information centre, with 20 multimedia computers for learning more languages and reprographic services. To support students’ hands-on experience, the college carries well equipped laboratory for practical experience. Some of the Instrumentation Room equipment includes high performance liquid chromatograph, UV spectrophotometer and other analysis instruments. The Machine Room at UI involves Pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment’s which include Rotary tablet punching machine, dissolution and disintegration apparatus equipment’s, in addition to imparting theoretical knowledge in manufacturing, call it the practical laboratory.

Karuna College of Pharmacy currently offers one full-time course: that were introduced by the Ministry of Health Co-Operation and Education which includes the Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma) programme. This is an undergraduate degree that takes four years to complete, and has an approved annual student capacity of sixty. The B.Pharma course structure aims in imparting sound academic and practical knowledge on pharmaceutical sciences among its graduates foremployment in different field of pharmacy. The enrollment levels for all courses in the college currently offer a student capacity of 228, highlighting the selective nature of the facilities present in the college. The admission programme in Karuna College of Pharmacy is to admit worthy students that would enable the institution pursue a B.Pharma programme.

The atmosphere of Karuna College of Pharmacy fully respects the rights of students as learners. With regard to campus accommodation, the institution has hostel accommodation for female students, which create a secure environment within reach of students who come from parts of the country. The rooms provided in the hostels are large and fully furnished and there is warden to look after everyone. For the convenience of the commuting students, the college runs three buses daily from Edappal, Kumaranelloor and Pattambi to the college campus. It also supports specific personal development through sporting and co-curricular activities by conducting annual sports and arts fairs.
