KC Polytechnic College Navanshahar was established in year, 2006 as an affiliated college and located in Nawanshahr, Punjab, India. This technical institution affiliated to the AICTE aims at providing diploma courses for students in different fields of engineering. Located on a large 30 acre tract, the college offers favorable terrain for technical learning. KC Polytechnic has a total intake capacity of 185 students and currently has a faculty strength of 57 making it enable effective student-teacher ratio.

The college requires various crops of sophisticated facilities that would enable the learners. The school having a well-equipped modern library as one of its learning resources centre contain books in excess of thirteen thousand, ninety journals and thirty magazines to satisfy the thirst for knowledge of its students and staffs. The reading area has a capacity to accommodate two hundred students at a time advocating for research and self-study. The computer labs are equipped with the latest hardware and software, remaining open from 8:They also have learning periods of 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM and 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM to encourage extension of the learning hours.

KC Polytechnic College provides five diploma courses where each of them take three years to complete. Some of the programs offered are; Diploma in Automobile Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. All programmes have an approved enrolment capacity of 60 students and that gives a total of 300 students’capacity across all courses offered in the University. From experience, the fact that the college aims at producing professionals, is further evidenced by the well-equipped laboratories with the aim of offering practical experience in different specialty fields of engineering.

The admission to KC Polytechnic College is through Joint Entrance Test which is conducted by the Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training Chandigarh. This entrance examination is usually held in the period of May or June of the year.
