Kharagpur Tribal Teachers' Training College, Kharagpur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Kharagpur Tribal TT College was started in the year of 2012, affiliated with Kharagpur, West Bengal. This is a co-education institution and approved by NCTE, Kharagpur, and specialising in the field of teacher education. Within a compact area of 1.49 acres, this college currently has a total student enrolment of 272, with a faculty strength of 21 members. 

Various facilities are available within the institution to enrich the learning experiences of the students. The library, one of the pillars of academic resources, stocks 3,056 books including 1,125 reference books and also subscribes to 20 educational journals and 8 encyclopedias. The reading room can accommodate 110 students at one time. To cater to practical learning, the college maintains several subject-based laboratories, such as Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography, Psychology, Educational Technology, and Language Learning. Kharagpur Tribal TT College  also provides them with individual boys' and girls' hostel facilities to make students coming from far-flung areas comfortable. The amenities that can be found on campus include an auditorium where events, seminars, and guest lectures take place, a cafeteria where students eat, and a health centre where first-aid facilities are provided. The institution also provides a gym and facilities for sports activities in regard to indoor and outdoor games for the physical well-being of its students.

Kharagpur Tribal Teachers' Training College runs a total of two courses; both full-time. The institute offers the one-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and D.El.Ed. to students looking to make a career in teaching at different levels of education. 

Kharagpur Tribal Teachers' Training College admits students on merit, considering the marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. It strictly adheres to the policy decisions of the State Government of West Bengal and the affiliated university while admitting students to its various courses.
