KIIT Polytechnic, Bhubaneswar was set up in 1995, is one of the premier technical colleges in orissa, India. This is an AICTE affiliated college offering a vast number of diploma programmes in several branches of engineering. KIIT Polytechnic is a private engineering college and began its journey in the year From a campus area of 2.001 acres, it admits 971 students in total and has 49 faculty members. Education is its main thrust and its principles make an effort towards delivering technical expertise and developing the student for professional recognition and occupation within the engineering discipline.

The student’s facilities at KIIT Polytechnic are on par with the brilliant academic and pastoral care provided by the college. The campus includes well-equipped laboratory, a big library with full collection of books and journals, well-furnished class rooms with teaching aids. Students avail well developed IT facilities such as Internet facility and computer laboratories. The institute also has separate hostels for boys and girls for those students who have travelling long distances. To complement physical fitness and health there is; exercise facilities, sports ground, and an Olympic size temperature-controlled swimming pool. A health centre is available on the campus itself in addition, the students avail urgent medical facilities from the 1300 bedded super-speciality KIMS hospital.

Currently the institute has 12 diploma courses specialising in several branches of engineering. These full time programmes are Diploma in Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Metallurgical Engineering. Also KIIT Polytechnic offers direct admission in the following disciplines for the UG & PG level students who want to enter mid of the stream. Over all intakes approved for all courses are 385 whereas mechanical engineering alone offers 80 intakes.

The admission procedure followed at KIIT Polytechnic engineering college is completely impartial and liberal.
