The KIT's Institute of Management Education and Research, Kolhapur, was started in the year 1994. Located in Gokul-Shirgaon, Kolhapur, Maharashtra, this affiliated college has grown much in management and computer science education. NAAC-accredited and AICTE-approved, KITIMER offers various postgraduate courses on its sprawling 27.72-acre campus. The institute provides a focused learning environment with a total enrolment of 370 students and a faculty strength of 10. KITIMER offers two specialised courses: MBA and MCA, keeping view the growing demands of business and technology sectors.
KIT's Institute of Management Education and Research has wide ranges of modern facilities aimed at providing the best environment to its students. It has separate hostels for boys and girls, each with a capacity of approximately 500 students. These hostels are fully equipped with all facilities, such as a clean water supply, cafeteria, gymnasium, common rooms, and medical facilities. The library, running over an area of 268 sq. meters, has a vast collection of more than 17,510 books in business, management, and computers. In addition, there are also provisions for digital resources available through DELNET, National Digital Library, and NPTEL. This campus is fully facilitated with the latest IT infrastructure so that the students are updated with technology. The other facilities include a canteen, an auditorium for events and seminars, sports facilities, and well-equipped laboratories for practical learning.
KITIMER currently offers two full-time postgraduate programmes: the MBA with 120 seats and the MCA with 60 seats. These courses are aimed at providing in-depth knowledge and practical skills for the students in their chosen areas. Since these specialised courses are the focus of the institute, concentrated education will be provided to students, which will take them up to leadership roles either in the management or technology sectors.
