KLE Society’s Chidanand B Kore Polytechnic, Chikodi has been a technical education in Chikodi since 1984, situated in Karnataka. This AICTE approved affiliated college offers a wide spectrum of diploma programmes in several branches of engineering. The institute occupies a campus size of 6.19 acres and has a total strength of students enroled as 773 and faculty 55. Amidst its core values to deliver quality education, the polytechnic offers nine diploma courses under one degree programme in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering among others.

KLE Society’s Chidanand B Kore Polytechnic boasts a number of facilities that seeks to support the learning process of the student. This has standard hostels for boys and girls each with capacity of two hundred students with proper amenities and mess. The library is well-stocked with a vast collection of books, periodicals, and journals, remaining accessible to students from 8:00 a.m to 10:00 p.m during weekdays. The college also has well equipped IT facilities, laboratory facilities and spacious class rooms for practical classes. For extra-curriculum activities, the school provides several facilities these include sporting facilities and a swimming pool. The campus has a cafeteria which offers many courses of food at a fairly small price, and there is also an auditorium for meetings or events. Transport facilities are also offered through two institute buses that operate in different parts of the city to the institute campus.

At present, KLE Society’s Chidanand B Kore Polytechnic promotes a total of 9 full time diploma courses and all of them are regular curriculum. The institute has an impressive total approved intake of 773 seats in all programme offered by the institute. Some of the main programmes offered include Diploma in Mechanical Engineering that has 105 seats, Diploma in Civil Engineering offered to 81 students, Diploma in Computer Science and Engineering Electronics & Communication Engineering, Automobile Engineering all of which have 56 seats each. Other courses include diploma in Mechatronics Engineering, Machine Tools Technology, Architecture Assistantship, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

KLE Society’s Chidanand B Kore Polytechnic requires candidates to obtain merit as a way of getting admission. For the first year diploma courses, the admissions are done through merit based on the S.S.L.C./ S.S.C. or any other examination recognised by the Karnataka Secondary Board Bangalore. This criterion applies to all the diploma programmes offered by the institute including; Mechanical engineering, civil engineering, computer science and engineering among others. The last admission is done after getting approval from the Directorate of Technical Education (D.T.E.), Bangalore. Technical education is well catered by the institute by its fully functional Training & Placement Cell which operates with and works towards developing the students’ employability factors such as personality development, mock interviews , group discussions etc.
