Konkan Education Society's Dr CD Deshmukh Commerce and Sau KG Tamhane Arts College, Roha was established in 1983. It sprawls over an area of 3.5 acres. The institute enjoys accreditation from NAAC. With a total strength of 612 students and 8 faculty members, the college offers 4 programmes with specialisations across various degree subjects. 40 percent of the students are males and 60 percent of them are females. All belong to the state. 

The Konkan Education Society's Dr CD Deshmukh Commerce and Sau KG Tamhane Arts College have various facilities that make the learning process more holistic and memorable for the students. A well-equipped library, serving as a central venue for students and faculty, is nothing short of a knowledge warehouse. College has the girls' hostel where safe, smooth, and comfortable facilities are provided for women students. An auditorium with a seating capacity of 250 conducts curricular as well as co-curricular activities such as guest lectures, seminars, and workshops. The college has sports facilities and a gym for students' wholesome living. 

In addition to this, it also offers 4 courses and is full-time. There are two undergraduate courses: B.Com and BA, as well as two postgraduate courses: MA History and M.Com Advance Accountancy. According to the approved intake put together for all courses it comprises of 600 seats.
