Krishna College of Education for Women, Namakkal, is one of the leading education institutions started in the year 2006–07 to build the future of education. This affiliated college has been established in the Elayampalyam, Tiruchengode, and is spread over an area of 6.27 acres of land. Recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), it has two specialisations for the degree in education. A total of 272 students can be enrolled in every class and the college employs 18 faculty members; hence, it boasts a favourable student-faculty ratio. The mentioned institute is a women-only institute, which gives the women students a strong and conscious environment of a woman in the field of education. Krishna College of Education for Women offers two full-time courses: There are courses that offer a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Master of Education (M.Ed.). The B.Ed. programme intake capacity is 100 seats, whereas the M.Ed. programme has a capacity of 50 students. Each of the degrees is structured in such a way that a candidate should be in a position to complete within two years. It has these specialised education courses to ensure that it produces competent teachers as required by the college. The institute offers 150 open seats in both programmes. That’s why the institute has a great importance to fulfil the demand of trained teachers in the concerned region.

Admission policy at Krishna College of Education for Women follows norms set by the Government of Tamil Nadu regarding admissions to the college. For the B.Ed. programme, the candidates are admitted according to the existing rules and regulations of this university and state government. Likewise, the admission procedures laid down by the university and the Government of Tamil Nadu are also being followed in the M. Ed. programme.
