Krishnasree College of Education for Women, Namakkal, was started in the year 2008, situated at Tiruchengode, Tamil Nadu exclusively for the education of women. This affiliated college NCTE recognised college is designated for teacher training programmes. Located in a 6.48 acre land, the college currently has a student population of 196, and the mean age of the college’s students is 22 years old and all of the students are female, proving its stance for women education. Krishnasree College of Education for Women currently offers one primary course: the degree programme in Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). This full-term course is a two year course with an approved intake capacity of one hundred seats per batch. The B.Ed programme aims at nurturing students for teaching profession and provides the informational, pedagogical and professional preparation required for that profession. Of course, the college’s focus on this single, specialised course enables a more function-focused and intensive approach to teacher education.
