KS Nursing College, Lashkar is one of the main nursing college in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. Located at Piproli, Chirwai Naka, this affiliated college aims at producing professional Health Care Human resources. Located at a 15-acre campus, college is imparting a wide variety of approved nursing courses under the approval of the Indian Nursing Council (INC). Towards offering quality education in the nursing sector, KS Nursing College offers eight courses, which include three degree levels that can address diverse specialisations within the nursing education.
Today, the college has adopted new structures and facilities that will improve the experience of its learners. The institute has a well-stocked library that acts as an information centre, having an exhaustive supply of national and international journals, periodicals, newspapers, magazines, and the internet for the research work. The campus comprises two different hostels for male and female students in order to provide comfortable places for students to live.
For skill’s in-feel, the college has department-wise laboratories and a health centre along with first-aid facilities. For physical recreation, students are also allowed to use sports facilities as part of the college. One clear area of commitment in the college is technology, which is well backed by a good IT department. KS Nursing College has its own buses to transport students to and from the college, as well as to Primary and Community Health Centres for practical training.
KS Nursing College has several courses for offering nursing education, which comprises of its under graduate, postgraduate, as well as diploma courses. The college provides three full-time degree programmes: Post Basic B.Sc Nursing and M.Sc Nursing in various fields, B.Sc Nursing and Post Basic B.Sc Nursing. Also, it runs diploma courses such as General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM). The total proposed intake for these courses is different, with 60 intakes for B.Sc Nursing, 20 intakes for Post-Basic B.Sc Nursing, 40 intake for GNM and only 3 intakes for each of the different M.Sc. Nursing specialisations.
KS Nursing College has an admission process aimed at enrolling deserving and responsible students to its programmes. For post-B.Sc., B.Sc. Nursing, and GNM-level courses, admission is made through an entrance examination and individual interview. The Post-Basic B.Sc. Nursing programme also follows a similar procedure. For M.Sc. Nursing programmes, specialisations like Medical Surgical Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Paediatric Nursing, Obstetrical and Gynaecological Nursing and Psychiatric Nursing admission process is done according to the Madhya Pradesh Nurses Registration Council norms. This helps to solidify that the personnel selection conforms to state-level nursing education requirements. The imposing mission of the college to launch highly qualified nursing specialists reveals the strict admission system, which focuses on the nonspecialists’ perspective outlook for providing them with the relevant skills needed to succeed in the highly competitive healthcare industry.
